Rainfall measurements are inserted every six hours into the system database. Daily, for each rain gauge of the national network, 24-hours rainfall cumulative are calculated. The data set might contain errors - single isolated locations with (unlikely) high values and needs to be filtered before it can be used for spatial prediction.
